Kyoungmin (Maria) Park, from Seoul, Korea, holds Bachelor degree in violin performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music where she studied with Ivan Zenaty. Ms. Park has previously attended Kyungwon University in the studio of Sue Hyung Moon and Windsor Young soloist in the studio of Susan Black. Ms. Park has performed with the Go-Yang Philharmonic Orchestra where she performed Tchaikovsky violin concerto and also performed in master classes with Linus Roth, Hyun Mi Kim. As a Founding member of the Commodore quartet, Ms. Park was in the semi finalist at the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition. She also attended the Banff Chamber Music Residency and Norfolk Chamber music festival with the quartet, working and performing with members of the Artis, Brentano, Emerson, Juilliard, and Tokyo String Quartets. The quartet has additionally worked with members of the Cleveland Quartet, Albers Trio, the Daedalus Quartet, and the Takacs Quartet. Ms. Park also performed for NPR’s radio show “Says You” with her quartet and received the James and Lola Faust Chamber Music Scholarship from Mu Phi Epsilon in 2014. Most recently, Ms. Park was a member of the National Repertory Orchestra in Breckenridge, Colorado. In addition to music, she enjoys playing piano, dancing.
